When Kendall Jenner wore sheer ankle socks to Cannes 2017, she was hinting towards the comeback of an insignificant enough accessory and we didn’t know until Valentino showcased it in their Resort, 2018 Collection. Adding a spin of glamour to your usual athleisure routine or reliving the old world charm, all was done gloriously to match up to the modern times yet stay true to its roots.

From bright hues to pared down colours and colour blocked to printed motifs, everything was on full display and we could only be gaping at the myriad styles. Here’s looking at our best picks from the Resort 2018 Collection:

Apart from colour, white re-appeared a lot in this collection, primarily because it is perfectly synonymous with resort wear and also because we are always game for something beachy and breezy. This eyelet dress from Christian Dior is a fierce nod to this trend. Pairing a Wooden Pendant Necklace with a white ensemble like this will look perfect.

Spring dress silhouettes combined with deep colours were showcased at Valentino but colours were rampant on the Resort 2018 runway. Electric hues to solid deep colours lit the runway in absolute right. Deep colours and wood have a thing of their own and so this Wooden Triangle Ring will blend beautifully with such a look.

Princess like pleats and sheer fabrics were also dominant amidst vintage curios and that sparked interest. This gown by Peter Dundas is done beautifully with epoch cold shoulders and satin lace ups. Pair our Celosia Necklace with a dress that has a plunging neckline like this one and you are sure to steal the show.

Frenzied prints and cowboy inspiration was rife at Moschino and you could tell that a vivacious road trip was on the cards. To balance that, trench coats and formal evening pant suits with a smatter of sparkle were also seen. Our iridescent Inaya Earrings will surely make crystals and colour bffs.

Plaids were generously used across ramps and we have only grown fond to them. Chanel’s models had a Greek Goddess coupled with peasants from forgotten land aura that will sit in the archives of our mind for some time now. Stacking up bracelets with plaid can be quite transformative and so our Florence Bracelet can be ideal.
