While the #TimesUp solidarity was rife at the 71st British Academy Film Awards too, we were busy spotting some stellar hairstyle trends that the celebrities sported. As the summer season is almost here and there is no better time for having a few updos at our disposal, we think these looks from BAFTAs can be a good base for our summer vacay.
Side partitions are becoming our new favourites and Emma Roberts rocked that look with a pair of link earrings. Great idea for a girl’s night out.
Florence Pugh’s updo stated classy chic with a subtle puff at the crown. Pair it with a summer dress and you are good to go anywhere.
We cannot think of a better hairstyle for a beach outing other than Naomie Harris’ braided updo. A gleaming set of layered necklaces instantly takes the whole look to another level.
Saiorse Ronan always carries a dreamy vibe with those crystalline eyes and with this classic hairstyle which resounds with Game of Thrones, we can channelize the goth romantic in us even during summers.
How cute is this wavy updo debuted by Letitia Wright? We simply love every single thing about this look!

Earrings are the newest form of makeup and we all think likewise. Statement earrings created waves a couple of years back and has been surging to newer heights ever since. They are transformative, lend character to your appearance and readily give your look an edge over others.
From grunge to sophisticated to classy, earrings have come a long way and are still being experimented exponentially! They look best with all kinds of hairstyles but the combination of chic updos with statement earrings has struck our fancy this time. To mark our love for the duo and to infuse them in our everyday ootds, here’s looking at how celebs inspire us to try out different earring styles:
Gal Gadot’s textured updo looks great with a bold lip and we think a pair of these Shahnaz Earrings will add a warrior style edge to it. Boho grunge can be made to look best with this entire mashup and to go with it you can opt for a fierce black gown.
This dreamy hairdo of Sarah Hyland works as a perfect wedding day hairstyle. The wisps of soft curls swept as bangs and collected at the bottom is what gives it a fairytale feel. Our Omaira Earrings wouldn’t fail to match that and seem like the perfect accomplice.
A dramatic chunk of side swept hair hangs down Charlize Theron’s face while the rest is neatly secured at the back. This look is equal parts classy and demure which works for any formal or red carpet event. A crystal studded pair like the Firdaus Earrings is what you need, to glorify this look better.
We sure may not be game for Rooney Mara’s micro bangs but a fun and daring updo like this can also work for an eyebrow-hitting fringe. Layered drops may work brilliantly with such a look and our Golden Drop Earrings may definitely be something you would like to give a thought to.
The gorgeous Emily Blunt shines in her soft twisted back hair do. Perfect for bridesmaids or even for those who want to attend a formal event! Danglers blend best with this look and we feel the Crescent Moon Earrings are ideal.
That’s for our list of favourites. Which celebs do you think carry updos with statement earrings well?

What fun is it to just pull back all your hair and tie it in a messy bun right? We are talking about those bad hair days on those sticky summer afternoons when you just don’t feel like leaving your hair down no matter how much you want to. Since you don’t have that privilege, you definitely have the privilege to look chic and that’s when summer buns step in.
Summer buns do not always have to look unattended or boring. There are a few fine ways to dress them up and we’ll tell you how.
Gather all your hair and tie it in a low bun, no we are not saying a tight chignon, but a messy, watching-a-match look. Leave the front tresses messy and wear a baseball cap with your casual t-shirt and denim combo. Complete your look with sneakers and off you go.
For flower lovers, this one is a must-try. If you have overdone flower crowns then these flower power buns will surely strike your fancy. Pick a bunch of fancy looking flowers and secure them on your buns with a hair pin. Total Frida-Kahlo-esque.
Nothing looks great like a messy top bun, don’t you agree? We mean, on those hot sultry summer days what’s best than pulling your hair up in a bun and gallivanting around. They look good with any outfit team-up and that’s their beauty!
Space buns because how can we forget them? They can look chic or edgy depending upon your preference and will go extremely well with any of your summer separates. Don them on with some killer sunglasses and slay.
We tried the scarves as chokers and are now securing our low buns with them. Give your head wraps a break and get a pop coloured, floral or Aztec scarf to embellish your low buns successfully. Try this with white summer dresses or boho maxi dresses to look pretty and chic.
