Contemporary Accessories To Look Up To…

contemporary

We are self-proclaimed accessory addicts and that qualifies us to keep talking about baubles or that is what we like to think 😉 From necklaces to earrings to rings, we love them all and are always eager to try on the new baubles that are just in. Sometimes that means selecting our jewellery first and our outfits later and we won’t have it any other way.

While doing this, we are always welcome for experimentation and like to explore new styles when it comes to embellishments. Though there are so many new innovations that we always try to keep up with, here are a few of our favourites that we would like to see more often in the fashion circuit:

bun cuff

Bun Cuffs

You saw space buns dominating the hairstyle scene at Coachella and now you can embellish them with these bun cuffs. Choose a metal one to accessorize a single slicked-back top knot or pick an embellished crystal one to style your hair in a low chignon.

palm

Palm Bracelets

You love wrist bracelets and rings both, so why not palm bracelets? Get a studded one and wear it simply to exude a minimalistic statement or team it with chunky rings and bracelet stacks to showcase your extreme styling.

septum

Septum Rings

For nose pin lovers, this one is a must-have. Septum rings not only look elegant but are also a subtle nod to the eternal stylista in you. Get a plain metal one or an intricately styled one to exude style and fashion like never before.

cord

Neck Cords

They were originally designed to protect your eyewear from falling but can now be viewed as potential style elements. We are not saying plain strappy ones but entirely crystal embellished ones or the ones laden with colourful tassels or pom poms. Fun enough and vacation perfect too!

We hope you like our curation of these accessories, tell us which one is your favourite?

LFW Jewellery Trends to Heart On

With every passing Fashion Week we get a whole bunch of upward trends to binge on and the saga continued with the recent Lakme Fashion Week too. It was a great compilation of luxuriant look books that has only left us feeling awed as usual. With spectacular silhouettes, splendid designs and a whole lot of attractiveness being placed in front of us, we still did not fail to marvel at the striking jewellery pieces. We have been invested throughout and sharing the notice worthy trends seemed legit enough.

So yes, here we go:

Septum Rings – Gaurang

Because how else will rad and tradition look good together if not bought together by septum rings? Gaurang’s collection of luminous fabrics and traditional prints give perspective to these rings and channelize a whole new different personality.

Retro Earrings with Head Wraps – Shivan & Narresh

Retrograde because that era was so cool and chic both at the same time. From fish scale embellishments on the garments to sprinkled blings, this collection looked even more dazzling with those twisted head wraps and bulky drops.

Retro Bangles – Ritu Kumar

Yet again, a touch of the bygone era while channelizing the ultimate sporty chic, that’s what Ritu Kumar’s collection spoke about. Colourful headbands and bangles blended well with the garments and we want to include them in our outfits like, right now!

All Out Chokers – Shantanu & Nikhil

Chokers in all colours and many embellishments dominated the ramp for Shantanu and Nikhil’s label. Rigorous experimentation and versatile looks give us a lowdown on maybe the multiple looks of Maleficent if it were to be designed.

Fusion Necklaces – Sabyasachi

He does ornate and extravagance in the best way possible and simply broadens the horizons of the spectators with his wondorous collections. Well known for the grandiose that he creates, this time around the couturier forayed in to the space of western garments and nailed it with fur and blingy fusion necklaces.
