We were in absolute awe when the creations of various designers cascaded down the ramps at The Lakme Fashion Week Spring Summer 2018 showcase. It was an avant-garde, star-studded event in every accord. Beautiful creations, unending silhouettes and gorgeous looks were in full display at the 5-day event. Here’s looking at our favourites:
Some serious eccentric style came alive at Anaam. The distinct silhouettes and solid colors added to the glam quotient and the state-of-the-art net like hair patterns were everything.
431-88 by Shweta Kapur had everyday silhouettes making a statement. Just by zinging them a bit, the designer showcased how your usuals can become showstoppers.
Falguni & Shane Peacock rocked the ramp in solid black and floral tapestry designs. Shimmer was used in certain bouts making it a striking element.
Anita Dongre’s pastel perfect outfits seemed great to be worn at Mehendis and Sangeets. You won’t have to look much far away to zero down on your summer wedding ensembles now.
Bespoke femininity was rife at Lajjoo C. Variants of rust and moss coloured outfits made us want to embrace them colors simply.
Anamika Khanna showcased a varied concoction which all came together when the showstopper hit the ramp. A wide array of prints were used and we couldn’t think of better summer options.
Half Full Curve silenced the ideal body type argument and graced the ramp with stunner outfits. Subtle hues and pared down colors merged with flowy silhouettes and cowl bottoms to create a Goddess collection, like never before.
Minimal and breezy was the mantra at CROW. Think classy yet relaxed outfit styles that will keep you on-the-go while still lending a subtle statement.
Some easy styles and refreshing silhouettes welcomed us at Ikai by Ragini Ahuja. The designer introduced stripes in a relaxed and casual format.
Refreshing florals welcomed us at Anushree Reddy’s show. The designer attested our belief of how pastels and florals are perfect for any occasion.
We could not get over the beautiful florals at Vineet Rahul. The muted tones and pops of color were soothing to the eyes and the floral fascinators were the winner.
