Solidarity & Style At The Golden Globes 2018

cover_final.jpg

The concord was visible and the message was strong when numerous women walked the red carpet at the Golden Globes 2018 wearing black. Standing in support of the Time’s Up Movement and the #MeToo interest, women in the entertainment industry displayed a blackout of sorts which truly proved to be enlightening. At various bouts, these women beseeched viewers to stand up against sexual harassment and assault while being in it all together, like Oprah said in her acceptance speech for the Cecil B. DeMille Award, “Each of us in this room are celebrated because of the stories that we tell, and this year we became the story.”

To complement the solitary tone adorned, our beloved Hollywood celebrities sparkled and how! Green, purple and white which are the colors of the women’s suffrage movement were used at large in the form of makeup and accessories. While it was a night of some serious speeches which delved in to profound truths of the society, fashion did go along very well.

Over to the ladies and their incredible style.

The Earring Trend Bollywood Is Currently Crushing On

Blog Banner- Tassel Earrings

From the moment tassels entered the fashion circuit, they have been a favourite among celebrities and commoners! They quickly escalated from single charms to shoulder grazers in the past couple of seasons making us all fall in love with them. Our B-town celebrities have also been spotted flaunting them at multiple occasions affirming that this upward trend is here to stay.

Speaking of which, we introduced an array of them in our Diwali Store for you to choose. Here’s helping you with a few tips to ace the tassel look for your office party or Diwali lunch.

Choose the right neckline

Off-shoulder, asymmetrical and sweetheart necklines work best for tassels. So, choose a minimally embellished lehenga-choli or a contemporary ensemble to put together your look.

A perfect hairstyle is key

When you are wearing shoulder dusters, it is important to keep all the focus on them. Understated hairstyles such as center-parted hair, a low ponytail or a neat top-knot will highlight your trailing tassels exceptionally well.

Makeup has to be on point

Since tassels are a statement in themselves, you might want to choose your makeup wisely. Focus more on the eyes with a smokey eye makeup or dramatic eyes using coloured eyeliner. Choose a pared down lip color.

Color co-ordinated or contrast

If you love minimal statements, then you should probably opt for beiges or other pastel tones with monochrome or matching outfits. But, if you are someone who likes to add a pop of color, then opt for deeper colours with brighter outfits and vibrant colours with subdued outfits.
