Bali – An Ideal Destination To Unwind!


Bali maybe best known for its plethora of foliage and picturesque rice terraces, but the Indonesian island is also a relaxing holiday destination with everything that will interest art enthusiasts and party lovers both. Boasting of many small towns that offer an array of activities, you can choose if to go surfing or spending time by the beach. Pub-hopping is also a legit thing for party lovers. Fancy visiting beautifully carved temples? Then Bali is your paradise. And finally for those who resonate with calm and peace, there is nothing better than visiting the rice terraces in Bali and unwinding.


Uluwatu and Seminyak have beautiful villas which welcome you with serene views and living there is the best if you are in a group mainly because they come with inhouse help and private pools at a very nominal price. Boutiques and local art markets are all around Bali and you can buy handicrafts like home decor, furniture, rattan bags, batik clothes, silver jewelry. Seminyak is the party hub with themed clubs & bars & all-day beach clubs. Motel Mexicola, a Mexican themed resto bar in Seminyak with pretty lights tops the list of must visit places. You could also catch an International DJ or gig at Potatohead Beach Club in Seminyak which is ideal for sundowners.

Uluwatu is a surfer’s paradise with day clubs and untouched beaches and it has amazing spots to watch the sun set from a cliff. Omnia in Uluwatu also hosts international gigs if you are in the mood to party.

Our team member Pranali chose Bali as her honeymoon destination and described it as paradise for nature lovers. From scenic rice terraces to culturally rich temples and endless beaches, Bali urges you to click a picture of each place you visit. The touristy nature of the island has not deterred its intrinsic art and craft and that is what makes it one of the few places which is on every traveller’s bucket list.


What to look out for?

Pantai Pandawa beach is a must-visit! Tanah Lot is a beautiful rock formation and is also home to the ancient Hindu religious temple making it the perfect place to be in. Visit the Monkey Forest in Ubud and you will be transferred to where the visuals of a Jungle Book would have looked like. Beautiful and detailed sculptures can be found everywhere in Bali with a peculiar feature of aggression on the face. Those who love water sports, head to Nusa Dua Beach. Uluwatu is another high altitude area which is very very scenic and is considered one of the best surfing places in the world. The Balinese cultural dance is something that you should definitely witness. Live music is also very prevalent here.

Where to stay?

You can stay at the beach facing property of Kuta Heritage. Hotel Four Points By Sheraton, Seminyak is another luxe hotel to stay in. Kuta and Seminyak are the best places to stay as everything is nearby. Kuta is also the main city area and a party hub. Definitely try out the spas here.

Where to shop?

Seminyak is full of brands and there are a couple of upscale malls in Kuta too. Tanah Lot is where you can shop on the streets. Get beautiful batik fabrics, intricate silver ware and elaborate wood carvings in Ubud, Celuk and Seminyak. While at that don’t forget to tour through the silver art galleries.

Where to eat?

Balinese cuisines include Bebek betutu and Babi guling. Indonesian delicacies such as Nasi and Mei Goreng are also something you should definitely try. Jimbaran Beach is very famous for sunset dinners and Kuta is famous for drinks.
